Lock your database structure

Databases aren’t available in the Atlassian Government environment.

The lock structure feature helps safeguard your database fields from accidental changes while allowing users to add and edit data entries.

How to lock your database structure

  1. Navigate to the database you want to secure.

  2. Select the ••• (More) menu at the top right corner of the database.

  3. Find the Lock structure option in the menu and switch it on.

Once enabled, no one will be able to add new fields or modify existing field settings unless the Lock structure feature is turned off. However, users with editing access can toggle this lock on or off at any time, making it a convenient safeguard against accidental structural changes.
