Add an attachment to a work item
Attachments give context to a work item that text can’t provide.
When a work item has over 150 attachments, attachments will be displayed as a list. Find out about viewing attachments in a list.
To add an attachment to a work item:
Open a work item.
Drag and drop your file onto the work item.
Alternatively, you can:
Open a work item.
Scroll down to the Attachments section and select +.
Or, select the Add quick-add button under the summary for the work item and then Attachment.Select Upload a file or drag and drop your files into the media picker.
Limits on how many attachments you can add to a work item
You can add up to 2000 attachments to a work item.
Once a work item has over 150 attachments, they’ll display as a list.

File names can't contain any of these characters:
'\', '/','\"', '%', ':', '$', '?', '*'.By default, the maximum size of any one file is 10MB, but your Jira admin can change this limit.
The Free plans for Jira and Jira Service Management have a file storage limit of 2 GB per product. The Standard plan allows up to 250 GB per product, and file storage is unlimited on Premium plans. Find out more about Premium plans
