Jira is getting a fresh new look and navigation

Integrate Jira with Bamboo

By integrating Jira applications with Bamboo, you can seamlessly view and monitor the status of your Bamboo builds and deployments without leaving your Jira projects.

To connect a Bamboo Data Center instance with a Jira application you need to create an application link between them.

Development panel in Jira work items

The development panel is shown in the View work item screen in Jira applications. If Jira is integrated with Bamboo, you can view the status of your builds and deployments right inside the corresponding work items.

See Viewing the development information for a work item for more information.

Releases hub

The Releases hub in Jira shows the progress of a version, so you can determine which work items are likely to ship at a glance. The commits, builds, and deployments related to each work item are shown, helping you to spot potential development issues that could cause problems for a release.

Deployments timeline

If you’ve integrated Bamboo with Bitbucket Data Center, deployment information can be sent to Jira via Bitbucket Data Center. You’ll see these deployments on your Jira work items, in the Releases hub, and on the Deployments timeline. However, if you’ve connected Bamboo to Jira (without using Bitbucket Data Center) you’ll only see deployments on Jira work items and in the Releases hub.
